What's new
- Every device on the map, nearest first — Open the device register on the phone and switch to the map view. All machines at the site are pinned by their recorded location, sorted by how far away they are from where you are standing. Tap any pin to navigate directly to that machine.
- Buildings in filters, on the map, and in the location band — Devices and tasks are now grouped by building. The register can be filtered to show only one building at a time, the map highlights which building you are in, and tasks carry the building name so the office and field are looking at the same picture.
- Previous cycle's answers visible while you fill a protocol — Last time's answer for each checklist item now appears right below the current field as you fill in this cycle's protocol. No more flipping between documents to compare readings.
- Ask Workvoice knows more about every device — The AI assistant can now read a device's building, its machine spec, and all the documents attached to it. Ask about service history, manuals, or compliance records and get answers grounded in the right machine's data.
- Device knowledge tab shows all linked documents — Each device now has a Documents tab in the web admin showing every manual, certificate, or report that has been attached to it.
- One unified task form across the whole app — Creating or editing a task looks and works the same whether you open it from a project, a device, or the task list. The old separate sheet is gone.
- Shared map engine on web and mobile, with a Plan tab — The office dashboard and the mobile app now use the same map engine. A new Plan tab opens straight onto the site map so managers can see where everything is without switching screens.
Improvements
- Filter the device register by last-visited date — Sort or filter the machine list by when it was last touched, so it is easy to find equipment that has not been serviced recently.
- See the machines nobody has visited — A new filter surfaces devices that have never had a protocol run or a note recorded against them.
- Task cards show the device, its location, and how to get there — Every task in the list now carries the name of the device it is about and the building or floor it is on. Tap to get directions.
- Object timeline has search, paging, and colour by event type — The activity history on a site now has a search bar, loads older events on scroll, and colours each row by what kind of capture it was.
- Protocol name field is readable and autosave is visible — The protocol form now shows a clear name field and a small "saved" indicator so technicians always know where they are and that their work is not lost.
- Ask text box grows with what you type — The compose field in the Ask screen now expands as you type instead of cutting off long questions.
Fixes
- Filed protocols no longer loop back to the phone — Submitting a completed protocol now returns you to the task or device screen instead of looping back to the protocol form.
- Walkthrough crashes recovered and GPS accuracy improved — A crash mid-capture no longer strands the photos already taken. The app also keeps a real GPS fix warm so locations are accurate rather than snapping to the last known point.
- Multi-photo picker now handles fast selections — Selecting several photos quickly in the library no longer drops picks or allows the same photo to be added twice.
- Nameplate scan now records where you were standing — A scan of a device nameplate now attaches your GPS position to the result so it can be found on the map later.
- Large document scans no longer run out of memory — Multi-page scans now stay within a memory budget so the app does not crash on long documents.
- Site plan pin card always shows its content — The card that appears when you tap a pin on the site plan now always loads its content and remembers which floor level you had open.
- Protocol revision accepted after filing — Submitting a revised version of an already-filed protocol no longer returns an error.
